Club Rules
Make sure you read the club rules as any breaches may result in you being asked to leave
TTAC committee reserves the right to amend club rules at their discretion. All changes will be published via website and noticeboard.
All anglers and guests accept and agree to abide by the rules of the club.
All anglers must possess a valid membership or day ticket.
All anglers, irrespective of whether they hold a membership card or purchase a day ticket, must possess a valid EA rod licence.
On request from a bailiff or club committee member, a valid EA rod licence, along with a valid membership card or day tickets must be shown.
Failure to produce any of these items will result in you being asked to leave the lake and any further action will be decided by the club committee.
Fishing is undertaken at your own risk and no responsibility will be accepted by the club as agreed on completion of membership.
To protect our lakes and fish stocks, members must not share lake names, pegs or fishing locations on social media.
Junior members (17 years and under) must be accompanied by an adult when fishing nights. Junior anglers (12 and under) must be accompanied by an adult at all times when fishing. NO children under the age of 6 years old are allowed to stay on the lakes overnight even when accompanied by an adult.
All rubbish must be taken away with you, no litter to be left on the lakes.
Night Fishing is permitted to club members ONLY.
Alcohol is permitted in moderation only. Excessive use of alcohol is strictly prohibited. You may be asked to leave. Bailiffs assessment is final.
Anyone found to be causing a disturbance/nuisance will be asked to leave and any further action will be decided by the club committee.
Anyone found using threats, intimidation, aggressive behaviour or abusive language towards bailiffs, club members, other anglers, committee members or members of the public will be asked to leave immediately and may face suspension or permanent ban.
Be mindful of other anglers and park users when fishing, only fish the water in front of you, check behind you before casting.
All out of bound areas must be obeyed along with ‘NO FISHING’ signs at all times. Gallions canal is for members only.
Fishing (casting) is only permitted from designated pegs. Anglers must not cast from in the water or fish between pegs.
No swimming or wading allowed. Anglers are only permitted to enter the water for the direct and immediate welfare of managing a fish which has been caught. Only enter the water if you have someone else with you.
All fish must be handled with care and returned to the water as soon as possible. On occasions where a fish needs to be retained, 45 mins maximum.
All anglers must be in possession of carp care/ propolis when fishing all lakes.
All anglers must use suitable equipment when fishing to ensure the safety of the fish (Landing net, Landing mat, carp care, etc).
A minimum of 36” size landing net is required and padded landing mat or cradle when fishing.
1 hook per rod to be used.
No baited rods to be left unattended at anytime.
Alarms must be used on ledger tackle when float fishing simultaneously.
No member or day ticket angler may fish a pole with any other rod.
Anglers are limited to a single rod when surface fishing and the rod must remain in hand at all times.
All carp/pike fishing must be carried out using suitable rods and reels. Minimum line 15lbs mainline.
Leadcore is banned on all lakes, only safe zone leaders are allowed.
No artificial bait of any kind is permitted on any lake including foam.
Braided mainline MUST NOT be used. Braided hooklengths are allowed.
Use of keepnets are only permitted during authorised matches.
Use of carp sacks are strictly prohibited.
Shelf life boilies are limited to 1kg per session. No limit on fresh or frozen.
Use of tree nuts and peanuts are strictly prohibited.
Bivvies only. Use of tents is strictly prohibited.
Dogs, radios and fires are not permitted.
BBQ’s are allowed but MUST be raised of the ground. Only charcoal no wood.
The use of drones is strictly prohibited.
All litter must be taken away with you when you leave.
Swims must be kept tidy while fishing.
Hooks and line must not be discarded on any of the lakes.
Instances of fish or wildlife becoming injured, hooked or entangled in line must be reported to a bailiff or club phone as soon as possible.
There is no official close season. The committee reserves the right to close any lake due to spawning, maintenance works or emergency.
Maximum 7 days fishing on all lakes allowed and then must have 48hrs off the lake.
Birchmere Lake
Members are permitted to use maximum 3 rods.
Day tickets are allowed maximum 2 rods.
Night fishing is for members only.
Bait boats are allowed to be used by MEMBERS ONLY and must not interfere with other anglers and must remain within your swim boundary.
Minimum 12lbs mainline must be used when Carp/pike fishing.
Pike and perch angling is only permitted between October 1st - March 31st.
Wire trace must be at least 12 inches long and minimum breaking strain 20lbs.
All treble hooks must be semi-barbed or de-barbed.
All pike anglers must have necessary forceps/pliers to enable safe and speedy removal of hooks.
Gallions Lake
Maximum 2 rods for members and day tickets.
Night fishing is for members only. No night fishing along house bank.
Bridge swims will be unlocked daily between 8am - 8pm. Weather permitting.
No bait boats are allowed on Gallions lake at any time.
No pike/perch fishing of any kind.
Pump Lake
Members only fishing
Minimum 15lbs mainline when Carp fishing.
Bait boats are allowed to be used but must not interfere with other anglers and must remain within your swim boundary.
Pike and perch angling is only permitted between October 1st - March 31st.
